Focus on: School Attendance is Everyone’s Business

Attendees will hear about the current arrangements to boost children’s school attendance in Halton and the role that different organisations can play in helping address low school attendance.

Objectives and aim:

For a wide range of agencies to understand the importance of individually and jointly prioritising school attendance in front line work. To understand the damaging impact on life chances and safeguarding of school absence. To build cross service relationships and a broader awareness of support and approaches to improve school attendance. To use information gathered to further improve the work to be developed on school attendance across the borough.
